My writing is shaped by a long involvement in racing, race coaching, and advanced driving instruction. That includes teaching for the Jim Russell Racing School during my time racing in England, then ten years with the Skip Barber organization in the United States. I continue to teach advanced driving, winter driving, skid control, and emergency vehicle operation as time permits. I run Sidorov Advanced Driver Training and SPDT Performance Driving Technologies. The latter deals with manufacturer development testing, tyre test program, and racing.
I have a good racing schedule this year, and both branches of my company are doing very well. That amazes me because I have very limited business skills, I'm just a driver who found a niche running high-quality programs.
While the track and training background gives my writing credibility, I've always tried to make information accessible to all readers, not just hard-core enthusiasts.
